On Tuesday last, a quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at Grassendale, Te Nui. The bridegroom was Mr Arthur Wilton, of Bideford, and the bride Miss Grace Maud Nilsen.
The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr James Chapman...
She was accompanied by her sister, Miss Clara (Dolly) Nilsen, as bridesmaid, her dress being of white muslin...
Mr Robert McGovern acted as best man.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J.H. Sykes, in the presence of a number of friends.
After receiving the hearty congratulations of the guests, a sumptuous repast was partaken of. The health of the bride and groom was proposed and drunk with great enthusiasm.
Next morning Mr and Mrs Wilton left for their new home at Bideford, amid the hearty good wishes of their many friends.
