Minutes of Church Building Committee held on 21st Sept. 1901

Present

Revd. Sykes (Chairman), Mrs Schofield, Messrs Brading, Nevins, Maunsell, Perry & Hancock.

Minutes of last meeting were confirmed on motion of Mr. Perry.

Correspondence received from Mr C. Daniels re plans of Church, also telegram from him offering to build the Church according to Plans for ₤374-0-0.

Propd. by Mr Hancock secd by Mr Perry that tenders be called for building the Church and finding all materials as per plan, all timber to be stacked on the site by end of January, the Building to be completed by 30th April and not to be started earlier than 1st March 1902.

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.  (Carried)

Propd. Mr Nevins Secd. Mr Maunsell that Tenders close at Te Nui on Friday 11th Octr and a meeting of the Committee open same on 12th Octr.  (Carried)

It was decided that Tenders be called in both local Masterton papers for 7 consecutive publications.
