Minutes of Vestry Meeting held in Vicarage 10/6/[19]19


Present

Vicar, - Wardens - Vestrymen - H. Morrison, D. H. Speedy, T. Dillon & H. Groves.

Apologies - A. A. Cameron, S Holdsworth - A. J. Speedy.


Minutes

Minutes of meeting held 25/4/17 were read and confirmed.


Trustee

Mr Jennings wrote resigning Trusteeship of Tinui Vestry fund.


Peace Sunday

Proposed Mr Cripps sec. Mr T. Dillon that the whole of the offerings for Peace Sunday be devoted to the Cathedral Fund. (Carried)


Trustee P.O.

Proposed Mr Hancock sec Mr T Dillon that the P.O. Trusteeship be left in the hands of the Vicar & his Warden.


Stipend

Proposed Mr H. Morrison secd Mr T Cripps: "That the Tinui Vestry provide ₤300 per year towards the Vicar's Stipend."  (Carried)


Repairs

Proposed Mr Hancock secd Mr Cripps that the Vicar & Messrs Nevins, D.Speedy & H. Maunsell & Treasurer be a committee to carry out repairs of Vicarage & be empowered to raise a loan if necessary. (Carried)

Mr Cripps reported having secured Mr T. Bannister's house at Whareama for 12 months as a temporary Vicarage together with 3 acres of ground. Rent 17/6 per week.

Mr Holdsworth moved Mr T. Dillon seconded that his actions be endorsed. (Carried)

Mr Hancock moved Mr H. Groves seconded that the Payment of Rent be a just call on the interest of the building fund after preliminary expenses. (Carried)

Moved Mr Maunsell secd Mr Hancock, that the Secretary be instructed to write to Mr Perry & demand delivery of the bath that otherwise legal action will be taken.  (Carried)

Mr Groves moved Mr Hancock secd that the lease of the Vicarage paddock be left in the hands of the Building Committee.  (Carried.)
