Minutes of Church Building Committee held 20th Decr. 1901


Present

Rev Sykes Miss Schofield, Messrs Brading, Perry, F. W. Groves & A. T. Hancock.

Minutes of previous meeting were read & confirmed.

The Secty reported he had got a guarantee that money could be got at 6%

Correspondence received from C. E. Daniels of 5th and 12th Decr. re Building Church.

Propd. Rev. Sykes Secd. Mr. F. Groves that arrangements be made for getting a Foundation Stone, to be laid by Rev. J. C. Andrew M.A., the stone to have an inscription giving name of layer and the date.

Minutes of Church Building Committee held 28th March 1902

Present

Revd. Sykes, Mrs Nevins, Messrs Nevins, Brading, D. H. Speedy, Perry and Hancock.

Minutes of last meeting were read & confirmed.

Propd. Mr Nevins Secd. Mr Speedy that Mr. Daniell be allowed to start building the Church as early as possible (Carried)

On 7th July Revd. Sykes, Messrs Brading, D. Speedy, F. W. Groves & Hancock, discussed an application from Mr. Knight, Mr Daniells foreman to the Committee to express their opinion in writing of the Carpentering work of Church.

It was agreed that the Secty should give Mr Knight a letter for Mr. Daniell conveying the Committee's thorough satisfaction with the manner work was finished &c.
