Minutes of Vestry Meeting held in the Vicarage 17/7/[19]12


Present Revd Hands, Messrs Brading, Nevins, D & A. Speedy & Hancock.

Minutes of last meeting were confirmed as read.

Propd. Mr Nevins secd by Mr Brading.

That the Parochial District be divided into two sub-districts to be known respectively as

(1) the Tinui Sub-district &

(2) the Whareama Sub-district, having as their centres

(1) the Church of the Good Shepherd

(2) the Church of St. Andrew,

the boundary separating the two sub-districts to be as follows--

From the East coast a line running along the boundary dividing Otahome from Waiminimi [?] then along that dividing Ica Homestead from Ica Station continuing between Mr Lennie's [?] property & Mr D. Bennett's and along the fences dividing the Maungapakea [sic] farms from those of Langdale to the cross-roads at Blairlogie Junction proceeding along the centre of the Masterton road to the boundary of St. Matthew's Parish, Masterton. (Carried).

Propd. Mr Nevins secd Mr D.H.Speedy.

That in the Sub-district of Tinui in the Parochial District of Tinui two Committees be appointed one at Castlepoint, the other at Mungapakea to deal with such Church matters as affect their own districts in accordance with Parochial districts Act IX as amended in Synod 1912.  (Carried)

Propd. Mr Nevins secd. Mr A. Speedy

that all buildings held by the Diocesan Trustees be insured in accordance with resolution of 1912 Synod & that Secty of Diocese be written to re same. (Carried.)

It was resolved that Diocesan Secty be written to re accident Insurance.

It was reported that the Church badly needed painting.

Propd. Mr Brading secd. Mr D.H. Speedy

that envelopes be sent out requesting subscriptions for painting & repairs to Church buildings & property.  (Carried.)
