At the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tinui, on Wednesday, Miss Eileen Thelma Greatbatch, youngest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr S. Greatbatch, was married to Mr Jack Innes, eldest son of Mrs and the late Mr George Innes, of Castlepoint. The Rev. H. Whitby James conducted the service.

The bride...was given away by her uncle, Mr F.B. Kempton, of Greytown...

The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs R. Allan, as matron of honour and Miss Lulla Innes, sister of the bridegroom, as bridesmaid...

Mr W Innes was best man and Mr G Speedy groomsman. Miss Langdon presided at the organ.

About seventy guests were entertained at a reception held later in the Tinui Hall.
