Minutes of Vestry meeting held in the Church on 4th Augst 1902


Present

Revd. Sykes, Messrs Brading, D. H. Speedy, Perry & Hancock.

Propd. Revd. Sykes & carried that a cordial letter of thanks be sent to Mr & Mrs Fanning (Longford) thanking them for presenting the Offertory Plates to our Church.

Propd. Revd. Sykes & carried, that the S.P.C. Knowledge [1] be thanked in writing, for their donation of ₤45-0-0 to the Church Building Fund.

On the motion of A. T. Hancock it was decided that a letter be sent to Revd. J. C. Andrew, signed by the Churchwardens, thanking him & Mrs Andrew for their great kindness to the Church, and wishing them a safe return from their projected visit to England.

Resolved that Mrs R. H. Wilson & Miss Peach be written to, thanking them for their generous subscription to the Church Building Fund.

Propd. Mr Perry Secd. A. T. Hancock that Mrs Andrew be written to, thanking her for providing &c the Marseilles Tiles for Church.  (Carried)

Propd. Mr. Perry Secd. Mr D Speedy, that the Church take steps to arrange with Mrs Owen for a lease of the section adjoining the Church with a right of purchase, say two or 3 years Lease, 1/- agreement stamped document would suffice the Vestry.  (Carried)

Propd. Mr. Brading & carried that all seats in the Church be free excepting the two seats nearest the Organ for Choir, when requested.

Propd. Revd. Sykes Secd. Mr Perry that the Mangapakea parts of the Offertory be handed over to Mrs J. Groves for their Organist (Carried)

A. T. Hancock was authorised to procure (3 ft wide) Coconut matting and large mat for porch of Church.
